About the Event
As we approach the second COVID-19 fall season, uncertainty is still in the air – literally. Company leaders are grappling with how to respond to the delta, delta-plus, and even newer variants of the virus; when to implement or change mask- and vaccine-related policies; and deal with complex and sometimes conflicting local, state, and national regulations – all in an environment where employees are more vocal than ever about their expectations for the future of work, and are prepared to vote with their feet if they believe companies are not responsive.
Join fellow directors for an interactive discussion with Dr. Joseph Allen, director of the Harvard Healthy Buildings Program and chair of the Lancet COVID-19 Commission task force on Safe Work, Safe Schools, and Safe Travel about what board members need to know on issues such as:
· How do indoor spaces drive (or undermine) productivity? How are leading companies redefining the employee experience to attract and retain top talent?
· What impact will new technologies - from building materials to sensors to data analytics and more – have on the post-pandemic workplace? How should companies differentiate between substantive changes and “hygiene theatre”?
· How might standards evolve, especially with increased focus on ESG issues, and what are the liability implications? Are healthy buildings the new “green buildings”?
· What does it all mean for how boards and senior leaders assess risk and resiliency, and make informed decisions around capital allocation and workforce strategy?
